Hello! I am a Colorado girl attending Stanford University. Last year, I often left my schoolwork to walk around Lake Laguanita and ponder a few lines from Wendell Berry: "I come into the peace of wild things, / who do not tax their lives with forethought / of grief." Poetry has power against worry, untruth, and that flat glaze of familiarity which covers the beauty around us. When I write, I always discover something new. May these noticings and stories teach us to see the abundance all around!
